PROMENADES BY THE SEA

At times, a delightful experience awaits just around the corner, easily overlooked in the absence of proper information. The merits of a leisurely seaside stroll are manifold, and when complemented by the soothing shade and aromatic pine trees, coupled with the backdrop of centuries-old architecture and panoramic views of the coastal formations, the walk transforms into an unforgettable experience.

CAVTAT PROMENADE

A Walk for the Senses

Cavtat is a small coastal town where peninsulas and bays alternate, so you will have a pleasant strolling experience in whichever direction you head. However, the promenade on the Rat Peninsula is a favourite of the locals. It is an extension of the historical core of Cavtat and goes around the entire peninsula, reaching the car park adjacent to the entrance to Cavtat. Strolling through this part of Cavtat is relaxing and refreshing on hot summer days. Apart from pleasing the eye and providing a refreshing shade, the pine forest enriches the walk with its almost healing scent. The colours of the Adriatic often entice sighs, and it is not uncommon to want to join locals diving into the crystal clear sea from the rocks.

Cavtat is visited during our Dubrovnik & Cavtat Tour and Cilipi Folklore & Cavtat Tour.

KORCULA PROMENADE

Encompassing the History

When visiting Korcula, you should stroll around its historic core, which is picturesquely situated on a small oval peninsula. It doesn’t take long to walk all around, but consider that the promenade roughly coincides with the perimeter that once enclosed the densely populated medieval city.
In addition to enjoying the beauties of the indented coast around Korcula, during the walk, you will have the opportunity to see up close the towers that used to be an integral part of the defence system of Korcula.
On the east side of the peninsula, in a captivating ambience overlooking the Adriatic, there are many restaurants with delicious local cuisine.

Korcula is visited during Korcula Day Trip.

PERAST COASTAL ROAD

Mediterranean and More

Perast is a small Montenegrin town located in one of the most scenic settings of the Bay of Kotor. Its coastal road is also an attractive walking area by the sea where a harmonious and valuable architectural ensemble encounters a breathtaking, fjord-alike bay. There are two panoramic islets just off the coast.
The steep mountain slopes in the background enhance the picturesqueness of the whole ambience.
A walk down this road also means meeting lively boatmen who offer their boat services.
Many cafes and restaurants serve refreshments on their seafront terraces. Once you pass the main square, Perast is less touristy and more appealing for a relaxing walk.

Perast is visited during Montenegro: Bay of Kotor and Montenegro: Kotor & Budva.
